For people outside NetSuite
Letting customers check their own orders
Our customers call us to ask where their order is.
Every answer is in your NetSuite account. SeamSet puts it on a page your customers open themselves, with no NetSuite login.
For heads of customer service and operations whose team looks up orders all day.
Your team looks it up, one call at a time.
A customer calls. Someone finds the order, checks the shipments and the invoices, and answers.
Meanwhile, the questions that need a person wait behind the ones a page could answer.
One page per customer, with every order on it.
SeamSet builds and runs the portal, and your customers come back to it for every order.
Describe it in plain words: "let customers see their orders and tracking."
- Every order with a plain status: not shipped yet, partly shipped, shipped.
- Each shipment with its tracking link.
- Expected ship dates, as they stand in NetSuite.
- Open invoices as PDFs and, if your AR team agrees, the balance due.
Anything entered late in NetSuite appears late.
Outside your NetSuite account, and here is why.
The Customer Center and Vendor Center need a NetSuite login. For customers and vendors without one, the portal runs outside NetSuite, and each sees only their own records. Your team picks who gets access.
The portal reads from your NetSuite account when a customer opens it, and keeps no copy of your records. The fields and invoice PDFs shown leave NetSuite.
What it reads, and what it writes.
Reads
your customers and their contacts, orders, shipments and invoices.
Writes
nothing to your records.
Connection
your admin connects SeamSet and decides what it can access.
Added to your account
only what the portal needs, listed for your admin before approval.
Every change is tested, and the portal goes live once your admin approves. The log records who asked, who approved, what changed and when. You can export it at any time.
Your NetSuite admin can revoke SeamSet's access at any time. If access ends or you stop using SeamSet, the portal stops.
