SeamSet builds what your NetSuite instance is missing.
Approvals, collections, stock views, dashboards, imports, exports, portals: you describe it. SeamSet builds it.
Describe what you need, in plain words.
SeamSet builds it: with the tools NetSuite provides when they are the right fit, custom when they are not.
Tested, documented, reviewed, approved: nothing goes live until your NetSuite admin approves it.
The work that happens beside NetSuite
- weekly-report-v7.xlsx
The weekly report, rebuilt in Excel from a saved search.
- overdue-chase-sept.xlsx
Overdue invoices, chased from a spreadsheet.
- RE: RE: PO 4471, ok?
Purchase orders approved by email, then keyed in.
- order_0923.pdf
Customer orders retyped from the file they sent.
- Import failed: row 212
A journal import rejected as out of balance, and nobody can see why.
"How do I learn NetSuite when no one at my company seems to know it?"
Some of this can be fixed inside NetSuite: a saved search, a workflow. The rest needs a script or a custom screen. What your team never had is the time, or someone who knows these tools. SeamSet knows them, and builds with them for you.
What SeamSet builds, and where it runs
Inside your NetSuite account
- Import screen, scheduled exportsLoading and extracting data. The import says the journal doesn't balance, and I can't see why.
- Collections worklistCollecting what you are owed.I chase the same invoices by hand every month.
- Dashboard pageSharing numbers that stay current.I export the saved search to Excel and it's stale by the meeting.
- Approval screenApproving what is waiting. The PO sits there because the approver never opens NetSuite.
- Stock lookup screenChecking stock where the work happens. The warehouse asks us to check stock for them.
- Custom form or screenDoing one job on one screen.Six fields, one screen. Instead they use the full record.
Built once, then it keeps running. Live once your NetSuite admin approves.
Describe.
You describe the need in plain words. SeamSet asks the questions your admin would ask before it builds.
SeamSet builds it.
A scheduled export, an approval flow, a custom screen, a portal. Built once, it runs without anyone asking again.
Test it before it goes live.
You get a first version in minutes, check it and ask for changes.
Your NetSuite admin approves.
Then it goes live.
- Your NetSuite admin will ask how this goes live. For NetSuite admins
- Your CFO will ask what the workarounds cost today. For CFOs and finance teams
- Your operations team will ask what changes in their week. For operations and purchasing
NetSuite, and only NetSuite
It starts from your account, not from a template.
- Native first. If NetSuite already does it, SeamSet sets it up and writes no code. Otherwise it builds only what is missing.
- By the book. SuiteScript 2.1 in SDF projects, and a SeamSet prefix in every object ID, linked to its request.
- Inside by default. What SeamSet builds runs inside your NetSuite account. Outside for two reasons only: portals for people with no NetSuite login, and screens NetSuite's pages handle badly. SeamSet itself runs outside.
Request
"overdue invoices, with a button to remind each client"
Covered natively: a scheduled saved search emails the overdue list.
Not in this account yet: a worklist with a Send reminder button.
Building only that.
The right way
Writing the code was never the hard part. Going live without breaking anything is.
- Tested first. Every change, small ones included.
- A change your admin can read. Your admin sees each change in plain words, then approves it, sends it back or rejects it. Nobody approves their own request.
- Logged for your auditor. The log records who asked, who approved, what changed and when. You can export it at any time.
- Three tags, before approval. Each line of a change is tagged Reversible, Removes stored data or Cannot be undone.
- Release upkeep. Before each major NetSuite release, SeamSet reruns its checks in a preview account and tells your admin what needs attention. Fixes go through the same approval.
In plain words
Emails the collections team the overdue list every Monday, from a saved search. Adds a worklist for the collectors and a promise-to-pay date on invoices. Removes the old "Chase note" field. From the worklist, collectors can send reminder emails.
- Schedules the saved search "Overdue invoices" to email the collections team every MondayReversible
customsearch_seam_overdue_invNative: no code - Adds the page "Collections worklist"Reversible
customscript_seam_collect_wl · customdeploy_seam_collect_wlAudience: A/R Clerk, Collections Manager - Adds the field "Promise to pay" on invoicesReversible
custbody_seam_ptp_date - Removes the old free-text field "Chase note" on invoices, replaced by Promise to payRemoves stored data
custbody_chase_note - Sends a reminder email to the customer when a collector clicks SendCannot be undone
customscript_seam_remind · customdeploy_seam_remindA sent email can't be recalled.

How SeamSet compares with the alternatives
An assistant answers once, or hands you code. SeamSet leaves a screen, an export or a portal that keeps running.
| A general AI coding assistant | SeamSet | |
|---|---|---|
| What you have after | Code you deploy yourself | Deployed code: a screen, export or portal your team uses |
| Looks for a native feature before writing code | If told to | Every time |
| Between "it works" and "it's live" | Up to you | Testing, admin approval, log |
| An integration platform | SeamSet | |
|---|---|---|
| Delivers | Scheduled flows between systems | Screens, approvals, reports and exports your team uses |
| Where its output runs | On its own platform | By default, inside your NetSuite account |
Small custom requests are hard to estimate, so they wait, and the cost is quiet: a slower close, cash collected later. SeamSet is built for them.
Frequently asked questions
- Is SeamSet software or a service?
- Software.
- Could our NetSuite partner do this?
- Yes. Large projects stay with them. For the smaller requests, they can use SeamSet on your account when you invite them.
- We don't have an in-house NetSuite admin.
- Approval goes to whoever holds that role: a controller, an IT lead, or your NetSuite partner.
- We don't have a sandbox account.
- Changes are still tested. We go through how for your account when we talk.
- What does SeamSet access?
- What your admin allows. We go through access and data in detail when we talk, and in your security review.
- What if we stop using SeamSet?
- What runs inside NetSuite keeps running; portals stop.
